Gary Savage - FSRA President

Gary under arrestThe Foothills Street Rod Association's highest office is held, once again in 1998, by Gary Savage seen here "under arrest" by one of Calgary's Finest during the FSRA "Cops 'N' Rodders banquet at the 1997 Fun Run. 1998 will be Gary's fourth (or Fifth?) term as president of the club, and we are grateful for his continued dedication to the post.
Much of the clubs success in the past can be directly attributed to Garys fine leadership, no doubt we are pleased, that he can find time to attend to the club while still keeping up to the demands of family and business. Gary is assisted (encouraged) in his endeavors by his wife Janet and son Jeffrey, and is owner/operator of National Transmission on 14th St N.W.

Gary's Ride

Gary's 40 Sedan

The Savage family cruises in Gary's 1940 Ford Sedan. Probably the cleanest street driven rod around, as evidenced by all the accidental photos that keep crossing the Foothills Kruizin' editors desk.

Gary cleaning his car again
In fact Gary's has been known to become so obsessed with cleaning that he's had to stoop to cleaning Gilmour's Chevy!Gary cleaning a chevy

Is this what happens after spending 3 days in the sun at an NSRA nats with nothing to do but clean your car?

But life's not all work, work, work.  Gary enjoys the Cruisin', the family style rapport of the Foothills Street Rod Association, his family; (Janet and Jeffrey here in Calgary and his son Jayson and Grandson down in Orlando) and the buildin'. In fact Gary's hard at work on a '37, due to hit the street sometime soon and guaranteed to be as clean or cleaner than the '40. So keep your shades on!
